Formula

Attendance% = (Classes Attended ÷ Total Classes Held) × 100 Classes needed to reach target T% from A attended of N held: x = ceil((T·N − 100·A) ÷ (100 − T)) Classes you can still miss while staying ≥ T%: s = floor((100·A ÷ T) − N)

How it works

Most universities require a minimum attendance (commonly 75% under UGC norms in India) to sit for end-semester exams. This calculator shows your current attendance and the exact number of classes you can still skip — or must now attend — to hit your target.

Example

Example: 38 attended of 50 held = 76%. With a 75% target you are on track — you can still miss 0 more classes before dropping below. If you were at 30/50 = 60%, you would need to attend the next 30 classes in a row to reach 75%.
